Attacking and Defensive Moves

An attacking move creates more scoring opportunities on the board, a defensive move closes scoring opportunities down. For example, an attacking move may place a word on the board which exposes a square that triples the score of a word played over it. A defensive move seeks to prevent the opponent using these crucial squares.
