To play a game, you must open a New Game. This will present you with a rack of seven tiles from which you must make a word of up to seven letters. These have to be placed on the board by clicking on each tile with the left mouse button, then holding the mouse button down as you drag the tile to the correct position on the board. If you let go of the mouse button whilst the tile is held over an empty square, it will snap to the nearest square. You can click and drag it again if the position is not correct.
If you drop a tile over an occupied square, the tile will stay in position and you will need to drag it to an empty square.
Drag and drop your letters to contiguous squares on the board, as well as connecting with at least one other letter already played on the board. On the first move, you can place the word anywhere on the board. Click on the "Play" drop down menu followed by "Submit", or just click on the
button. All words played must be valid or the tiles will be rejected and will reappear on your rack and you will need to try again.Valid moves are those where all words formed appear in the dictionary.
The analysis box on the right will show the move made in the following format:
- the player's name
- the position of the word played, for example (8B,down) means that the word started at the tile with the co-ordinates 8B and went down the board
- the word played
- the score
